
At Our Impact, we have made films that meet the needs of our clients. Our projects offer well-researched, non-biased, and factual reporting. We also utilize social media engagement to spread awareness in the form of art, graphic design, and interaction.
In this project, the focus was on the many facets of social media’s impact. The film uncovered the gang violence, widespread activism, celebrity influence, hate speech, and impact on mental illness and suicide. The film documents social media’s growth from its meager beginnings to its commonplace status in today’s modern world and also asks burning questions about the benefits and consequences that come with today’s social media pull.
This documentary uses clear data and examples to illustrate media bias and impact. As technology has progressed, so have the different avenues to access news information. And Splinternet Part II gives an all-encompassing look at the mass media from its infancy to the modern, digital force it is today .
The three-part series “Splinternet” aimed to explore the impact and different consequences associated with the internet. In collaboration with 7 Billion Today, this project was able to provide useful live poll data. The first part “Is There A War on the Internet for Ideology Supremacy?” endeavored to show a link between extremism, such as neo-Nazi and ISIS terrorism, and the impact of the internet. In addition to supplying thorough statistical data, the film took a look at the disturbingly long list of recent terror attacks which have occurred worldwide.
“Death Certificate” explored the opioid crisis in great detail. The episode brings a comprehensive look at all the factors that contribute to the crisis, such as physicians getting kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies, or manufacturers being dishonest about the addictive nature of their product, as well as the nightclub and entertainment scenes that glorify drug use. The film also gave an unflinching look at those suffering from addiction, ensuring that everyone affected by the crisis gets representation.
“Demonized: Investigating Real Life Exorcisms and Mental Illness” explored the possible connection between those diagnosed with a mental illness and those believed to be demon-possessed who exhibit the same symptoms of mental illness. The film also uncovers instances of tragic deaths which arose from misguided attempts at exorcisms. Fake healers who take advantage of the vulnerable are also given focus. This film provides well-researched information on fascinating cases, an educational look at mental illnesses, and a riveting conclusion.
The powerful “Grenfell Rises” explores the night of the fire and its aftermath. This film gives an extensive look at the immediate emergency response by the London Fire Brigade. The film also shines a light on the organizations which offered their support in the tragedy’s wake. Detailed data is offered to give an in-depth analysis of what occurred on the night. Additionally, Grenfell’s survivors, relatives, and bereaved are given their just focus.
“Grenfell Remains” looks at all the factors that contributed to the tragedy on June 14, 2016. The film provides a well-executed look at the Grenfell tragedy as it analyzes the building material and regulations with top-notch insight and detail. To truly understand why the tragedy happened, it is important to trace back to the root causes and key players and this film does that with great skill.
